Dr. Drake’s foundation in engineering began with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, followed by a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering at The Ohio State University, where his research on mitral valve biomechanics was conducted in collaboration with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. During this period, he also completed research and engineering internships at NASA Lewis Research Center and General Electric Aircraft Engines.

He earned his medical degree from Wright State University and completed residency training in Diagnostic Radiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, followed by fellowship training in Neuroradiology at the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital.

With more than 20 years of active clinical practice in diagnostic radiology and neuroradiology, Dr. Drake brings broad experience across hospital-based, outpatient, and teleradiology settings. His clinical experience includes brain, head and neck, spine, thoracic, and abdominal imaging, as well as general diagnostic radiology. He also brings more than 10 years of professional consultation and analytic review experience involving imaging interpretation, multidisciplinary evaluation, and complex case analysis. Dr. Drake earned an MBA from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, complementing his medical and engineering background with formal training in organizational decision-making, strategy, and healthcare operations.

Dr. Drake’s work centers on physician-led multidisciplinary consultation integrating diagnostic radiology, fellowship training in neuroradiology, and engineering-informed analytical review where appropriate. He remains an actively practicing, board-certified diagnostic radiologist and fellowship-trained neuroradiologist. His consultation work supports organizational decision-making in medically, financially, and operationally consequential matters.
